Inner Works is the Portland-based acupuncture clinic of Elizabeth Zenger, Ph.D., licensed acupuncturist and board-certified Chinese herbalist.

Inner Works is based in the belief that each of us holds within us the natural resources that we need to heal. By engaging the transformative power within, Inner Works empowers the individual in an authentic healing process that encompasses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Inner Works offers comprehensive healing with lasting results for chronic illness, mind-body disorders and life-long wellness. Inner Works offers a mix of three clinical modalities that work synergistically:

Classical Five Element Acupuncture

works with the energy body at a core level, removing blockages and restoring harmony to body, mind and spirit. It is the principal modality used for treating a wide range of physical and psycho-emotional illnesses.

Zero Balancing

is a hands-on body work system which aligns energy and structure in the body. It is highly effective for treating structural issues, such as musculoskeletal pain. The sessions are very relaxing, and many clients find Zero Balancing helpful for reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

enhances the efficacy of acupuncture and body work for treating many chronic physical and psycho-emotional disorders. Herbal medicine also offers a wide array of remedies for acute illnesses (e.g., colds and flu) and pain relief.
